Hi all,

Family members flying Business rewards ticket from Frankfurt to Hong Kong then Economy rewards to Australia.

Is there only one Business Lounge to use in Frankfurt?
Any reviews please?

Can they get access to Business Lounge in Hong Kong from a Business Class flight on arrival(via there incoming flight)?

Which Priority Pass lounge to use in Hong Kong for back up?
6hour layover!

Any other tips and have been to Hong Kong before and do not plan on going outside airport....

Edit: Is this review current?: Review: Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge Frankfurt - Travelling the World

And

Cathay Lounge Website talks about "The Arrival" lounge???
Zugangsbedingungen für die Lounge | Reiseinformationen | Cathay Pacific

Found this review of "The Arrival" lounge in Hk: Review: Cathay Pacific’s Arrival Lounge at HKG

Used the Cathay Lounge at Frankfurt Airport last month.
All good, not on par with the Hong Kong Lounges though.
Received the lounge invitation on check in.

Busy?
Good selection of food, better than in air?
Any other tips?

There is no official Cathay lounge entry for the transit in Hong Kong. Under Oneworld rules you can only use the lounge in transit if connecting from long-haul to short-haul (or vv). HKG-AU is long haul. But you can always try, CX's policy is sometimes more generous than OW rules.

Your family members should check if they are issued a lounge invitation for Hong Kong at check-in in Europe. If not, try the lounge in Hong Kong anyway with boarding passes for incoming and outgoing.

If that doesn't work, they can either use the Arrival lounge (but will need to clear immigration), or pay for a lounge.

Thankyou for the info.
They were told at check-in that they can use lounge in HK I wonder if that is the "The Arrival" lounge.... Only?
They have Priority pass as back up...
Is it worth clear immigration(free) to access The Arrival lounge.
Any chance of upgrade on reward ticket from economy to business????
Any success stories these days..... Will always ask!

Edit: They were given lounge passes for HK! In Frankfurt

I was in the FRA CX lounge 18 months ago, and the review seems about right.

During the recent HKG lounge crawl I was guested into the PP/Amex lounge near gate 40. I was pleasantly surprised.

So they did The Deck and The Bridge...... Both were COLD and food offerings were below par....

Of course no upgrade granted.

Upgrades on CX, even for awards, are possible. But they give preference to status, either their own or other oneworld partners. As your family had no status they would have been pretty far down the list.

Food in Cathay's J lounges has never been particularly good - nothing very healthy. It's cheap 'comfort' food, high in salt, fat and sugar.

The food in the Pier J is excellent.

I agree, the Pier J is the best of the CX J lounges by far, and probably the best J lounge I have ever seen. The FRA CX lounge is well below par, minimal food, and tight for space, so I wouldn't get to the airport early to visit it. And as the same lounge is used for 1st class , it is even more disappointing. At least in ZRH they have used a very classy lounge with a la carte food for 1st. Unfortunately CX won't be flying 1st from ZRH anymore from next year, sad loss of a reliable and great 1st class redemption opportunity.
