'Casual' lounge pass options - MEL and LAX?

Hi crew

Flying QF93 on Jan 30 and QF94 home on Feb 22 with a family member (both basic QFF bronze).

Aside from the preferred option of being guest-passed in, what options do we have for purchasing lounge access at either end - either a day pass or some sort of short term membership?

Any advice appreciated!

As far as I know there are no Qantas issued 'passes', but the AC pass will get you into Qantas Clubs, no problem.

My daughter was recently advised by AA that the one-day AC pass would not gain access to QF Lounge in LAX, but the 30 day pass will.

And that is supported by the AA web site, showing TBIT/Qantas accessible under 30 day pass, but not under one day pass. I'll edit my post accordingly.

The difference is that the one day pass is just that, a "pass", whereas the 30 day membership is actually a real, full-blown AC membership that just happens to expire in 30 days instead of a year.

Reading the fine print of the AC 30-day pass, I am allowed to guest one person into the QF lounge at LAX, but cannot take a guest at MEL?

Can anyone clarify?

Was eventually put through to the MEL J lounge direct, and the very helpful lady confirmed that as a 30-day AC member I can guest a person in at both MEL and LAX.

This seems like a winner!

No personal experience but the official answer is a definite No I'm afraid. You need to be travelling on a OW flight to use the QF Lounge with an Admirals Club membership.
