carbon offset on partner reward ticket

Dear friends, Got a question about green tier.

I booked a reward ticket from Qantas with China eastern. It offered me to spend 1800 point for 'Voluntary Carbon Program'.

My question is, would thay help me to get 1 green tier leaf? Or it has to be a QF operated flight. Thanks in advnce

I don’t think so.

The details when you scroll down on the Green page only mention QF group flights.

I tried one once (short AS flight) and never got a leaf.

A bit naughty that the system lets us do that.
