I caved and booked flights from Canberra to Gold Coast in March.
Had these flights cancelled twice last year due to border closure sure hope we actually get to go this time.
Anyway, flights were so darn expensive I can't afford to hire car seats with our car hire so will need to take our two. Do Virgin give bags to put them in - even just a plastic one? Buying bags is just another expense and I won't if they give them out for free.
I don't want to have them just lobbed on the plane "as is" because buckles and straps will be flying all over the place.

Hi Wendle, I don't know about bags, but I have taken car seats around the world (literally) and never had any problems with damage to them. You may be able to secure straps to the seat or each other using cable ties or something similar?

Qantas used to have big plastic bags available (I think main purpose was to put a hiking backpack or similar inside it). In the past I have asked and gotten a few of them on arrival, and then next flight out with the kids packed things up in them.

Only once did they not last the trip to the US, and instead purchased two of these and have never looked back
