Hi

A friend of mine is travelling to Europe at the end of the month, he's travelling from London to Paris on Eurostar and looking at trains to Rome, but he considering hiring a car, i read somewhere that you weren't allowed to take hire cars over into another country is this true?

Be interesting to find out if this is true.

Cheers.

David.

It's no problem in western Europe. There are restrictions on taking rental cars into eastern Europe (read some former communist-bloc countries). It's all laid out clearly on the major rental car companies' sites.

In short, no problems Paris-Rome, but check the one-way fees if one-way is the intention.
