I looked at hiring a car (SYD,CBR) and it was $140 day and up - right after Marrickville was flooded, but has now eased to about $80 a day. No mistake, even Vroom, or autoclub gold cards on that rain dump.
Was $140 next week (last Friday) but now eased to $50 odd a day.
So be warned next time your car drifts down River-road, book that replacement straight away. If covered by insurance, well, somebody make a profit.

Yep,

Same thing happened to me last year during Cyclone Yasi,

Luckly I have an agreed rate and only paid my standard rate for everything including the motel that I stay at.
