Cant Book Saver Fares both Ways MEL-LHR

I find this most frustrating.

Attempting to book a flight MEL-LHR in September and want to book saver fares to get opportunity to be bale to upgrade using points however as you will see below it only lets me select saver fare in one direction.

Qantas I am trying to give you extra cash and you don't want it Grrrrrrrrrr. The other concern I have with this is that terms and conditions clearly advise where two fare types are booked the TOUGHER conditions of the Red E Deal rather than Saver would apply to the entire booking. Surely that is unfair.

Call up and get them to book it for you as it is and should be possible. Web site is carp so you won't pay the phone booking fee. I did this approx 3 years ago. Stupid QF IT!!

Such a basic function thought it would be possible after such a long time to fix it. Decided given probability of upgrade low and impossible on the EK Sector opted to not book with QF and Booked SQ instead which was cheaper and better connections. I anted to go to Singapore for a brief meeting so SQ is much better.

I reported the same issue in another thread recently, saver fare on qf15 to LAX. However 2 days later it fixed itself, didnt grey out, was all fine. Go figure.

Id suggest have a look tomorrow.
