I had a "senior's moment" recently. I had booked tickets and flights to Adelaide for this week's Rolling Stones Concert. A few weeks later, Air Asia offered very cheap flights PER-DPS and we decided to go for a weeks R&R. I then commenced to book the Air Asia flight on the same day as the Rolling Stone's concert!! ( a fact it took another week to discover lol). Well it was not a biggie, I just arranged to travel ADL-DPS on Sunday which meany we only lost 15 hours at the villa we rented. (plus flying business with Virgin to pacify Mrs RC,....will be interesting fist Virgin flight ever).
I rang Air Asia to cancel flight but they refuse to cancel the first leg. (I told them I knew it was a non-refundable fare, I didn't want any money back or credit, but someone else could use our Row 1 seats. HUACA twice and all refused to cancel flight. They stated that we would just be shown as a "no show".
My worry is, will they, like some other airlines, cancel our return flight?
I guess this hasn't happened to too many other people, but if there is others who have had similar "senior's moments", can you advise whether my return flight with Air Asia is safe??
