Cancellations only to Travel Bank?

Hi there,

I just cancelled a Business Class flight via the Business Portal and the only option was a credit to the travel bank. According to the fare rules, BC fare should also be refundable to the original form of payment. Is this an IT issue or a general rule for flights booked via the portal?

Thanks!

I have the same question. Given the lack of answers I assume you need to call to get a refund...

Yes, a long time to answer your question.

Ok, so...
I've just called to refund my business class flight and request for it to be refunded back to the card.
Turns out I partially used travel bank to may for the flight, so that part of the refund has to go back to travel bank. The call centre would refund to my card the value that was paid by card.
My speculation is that travel bank was my only refund option online, because some of the money had to return to travel bank.

I guess maybe card is an option for refund if the whole fare is paid by card.
