I've got a stay with a Hilton property coming up.

I'm noticing as the date gets closer the price they are quoting gets cheaper.

Do they get annoyed if you cancel and rebook at the lower rate the day before you are due to stay?

Whether Hilton or SPG I always book a cancellable rate that I would be OK with. This is usually at least 9 months out from the stay.I regularly check the rates and have no hesitation cancelling the old booking and making a new one if the rates have become cheaper.Often save mega bucks.
On the other hand remember booking the Hilton Anaheim as was a conference on.again about 9 months out got a rate of $US150 a night.By the time of the conference the rate was $US1500 a night. Was I glad i booked early.
