Can Skybus return tickets used on the same direction?

Always wondering the answer, so if I purchase a return Skybus ticket and used it the first time from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross station, can I use the return leg on a later journey again from Airport to Southern Cross Station?

The reason behind this is I usually take late night flight leaving MEL, so after work I have plenty time to take train to Broadmeadow and then 901 to the airport which will cost me nothing thanks to my annual Myki pass.
However, on the way back from airport, it is usually an overnight flight and I'd rather take the Skybus directly to save the hassle.

I know it's just a few bucks, but maybe someone have tried this before?

I believe you can, I heard someone ask the question at the booth last time I was there and was told its good for two one ways, however I think they have a short dating on the return trip of three months max.
 
Yes they can, when you buy a return it's really a "two trip" ticket that can be used in either direction. Both trips have a 3 month validity from date of purchase, not just the second.
