Can I use the Napier Koru Club?

Im trying to work out if I am entitled or not:

1) I am Gold Velocity
- I am assuming that this alone won't get me access

2) I am flying NPR-AKL-SYD: the AKL-SYD leg is Business Class BUT the NPR-AKL is naturally in Economy
- As I will check right through to SYD in J, will the checkin person give me KC access in Napier for the first leg?

Gold and Platinum, and indeed Lounge members, of Virgin Australia are given reciprocal access when flying on Air NZ domestically in NZ. So unless I’m missing something big, that means any domestic Air NZ flight you take will give you lounge access as a Gold Velocity member.

At koru club in AKL recently, NZ dragons wanted my NZ card to gain access. VA Plat wasn't recognised. Maybe 1 off incident?

My/out DJ Platinum cards were recognised in December without issue.

Ditto here (at AKL domestic...did I see you there? )...does sound like a mistake by KC guardians. Access at NPE should not be a problem for haydensydney.

Although the lounge is shown as opening at 0630 there is a problem with staffing at some of the smaller centres.

Recently at New Plymouth the lounge was locked. By the time they found someone with a key the flight was about to be called. All too hard
