Can I upgrade on Emirates operated flight (QF####) with my QFF points?

I've read the QF website a few times and I'm still not clear on if I can do this. Hoping someone can clarify this for me.

I am thinking of buying some economy tickets on the QF website to Italy. They aren't sale tickets, just standard tickets for about $2500 each. They have a QF booking code (QF####) but are operated by Emirates. My question is, can I use my points to request an upgrade to business?

No, unfortunately not. The partnership doesn't extend as far as upgrades on each others' metal.
