Hi Forum,
I am not quite sure whether this is the right things to do, but I just read this question in another website about which also I have been wondering.
My basic understand is: no to advanced seat selection, priority check-in & boarding except for extra baggage allowance (only with code share, or based on restricted condition). To clear my understanding and share the appropriate information with others, I decided to seek experts advice in here since your would be the most knowledgeable in regards to this particular sort of question:
Hi All,
I originally posted this in the Virgin Australia Velocity forum, but is has been suggested to post it here to perhaps get some info....
I've been on the phone to Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines respective frequent flyer programs trying to get some clarification but they're either giving me the runaround or providing conflicting information.
I'm not a Velocity FF member, and basically what I want to find out is whether if I book a Y class DJ flight (PER to MEL) on the 'Saver' fare, whether I get any benefits with my Krisflyer Gold Elite status?
I am pretty (99%) sure that Krisflyer Gold allows;
1) access to the Virgin Lounges
2) Points will get credited to my Krisflyer account (although not contribute to Status Points)
Would I get any other benefits such as advanced seat selection, complimentary baggage, priority check-in etc, that Velocity Gold members get on the Saver fare? I read on the SQ website that Krisflyer Elite members get 32kg on DJ flights, however the FF representative suggested otherwise as they are a Partner airline and not Star Alliance.
Any clarification would be great!
Thanks.
Thank you for your understanding and help.
Kind regards,
kmjsyd
