Hopefully this is quite a simple question which I've been unable to find an answer for using search.

If I book a flight with Etihad from Bangkok to London via Abu Dhabi so I receive status credit as if the flight was a single leg or broken down into two separate legs (i.e 60+60 or 80 points)?

Thanks

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

You will get SC and points for each leg, so BKK-AUH and AUH-LHR

Note also that on 1 June the points tiering and SC calculation for Etihad changes markedly.
From:

Economy (Y, B, H, K, M, Q, L, V, U, E)
1 Velocity Point
Business Class (J, C, D, W)
1.5 Velocity Points
First Class (F, A, R)
2 Velocity Points

TO

Discount Economy (E, U, V, L, Q, M, K)
0.5 Velocity Points
Economy Class (H, B, Y)
1 Velocity Point
Discount Business Class (W, D)
1.3 Velocity Points
Business Class (C, J)
1.75 Velocity Points
Discount First Class (R)
1.8 Velocity Points
First Class (F, A)
2.5 Velocity Points

By creating the new Discount Economy tier, this will effectively halve SC earning on most Etihad flights.
