Cairo 12 hours - airport, hotel, lounge?

Next year My daughter is finishing a tour early morning in Cairo and not flying out until 11pm that night.

Are there any hotels close to the airport she can spend the day at that anyone can recommend for a young single female? Doesn't have to be super cheap, convenience and safety is more important.

Should she just go to the airport and pay for lounge access for the day?

This will be her final leg of a 6 week trip and she will have all of her luggage etc and I assume she won't be able to actually check into her flight until around 8pm.

100% get a hotel.

I havent been there for years but back then it was not a great place to kill 2 hrs, let along half a day
