Buying Miles Issue

Have tried to buy 2500 miles on three occasions now and all transactions have resulted in an email saying it is cancelled.

Contacted ANZ and they confirmed the authorization on all three charges so it does not make any sense.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Have you ring SPG and have you already bought the 20k limit this year?

New account so nothing bought so far.
Rang SPG and they said credit card was being refused which is now untrue.
I can even see my available limit go down due to the charges.

Going to ring them again and see if I get anywhere.

Starpoint purchases can be made by members whose accounts have been active for a minimum of 14 days. Accounts that are less than the required 14 days in age will have the purchase attempt cancelled.

However when asked over the phone they said there was no restriction on new accounts and they would get back to me within 24 hours after they reviewed.
Im guessing the website is correct.
