Hi,

I am and will be OS on business for the best part of the next 2 years.

My company covers me via SOS international for medical.

For personal property it relies on some pretty grey policy that allows the company to avoid paying out if I am not directly working at the time.

I.e. if I decide to go to another city for a weekend nearby and do some sightseeing, get robbed etc. or pickpockets etc I am not covered.

I was wondering of there is any policy that covers property only, similar to an Aus domestic policy (I.e. does not cover medical)??

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

You could try worldcare dot com dot au & then go to select a benefit. You then use the slider to adjust the sections you do or don't want (there are minimums). Used them for reducing the excess on a hire vehicle in NZ but didn't claim so not sure how good they are on that side of things.

You can use Globelink travel insurance.
It offers different level of covers, you can choose according to your suitability and needs.
I would not find better value and service anywhere else.

I have the same cover from SOS International provided by work.
I use TID.com.au and their ~$300 with discount code annual travel insurance policy. They have just changed underwriters so their new policies are a bit different, but at a quick glance, for $300/yr covering all travel you do, I think it is good value, even though it doubles up on your medical cover.

Current discount code is TIDGIVES
