T5 terminal has two lounges for BA departure side, the one on the left when you go through security has a shower etc.

I'm by no means sure of this but it appears BA flights LHR-DUB operate out of T1. Maybe they are former BMI flights? Cannot find more info at the moment but worth some digging.

BA are now operating the ex BMI aircraft painted in BA livery out of T1 to DUB. (It seems they no longer codeshare with EI on this route.)

There is a lounge: (British Airways - Terminal 1)
The British Airways and bmi UK and Ireland Lounge
The lounge is located next to Gate 8, and is open to the following customers travelling on domestic bmi flights within the UK and to Dublin:

  • bmi Flexible Economy
  • bmi Diamond Club Gold and Silver members
  • British Airways Executive Club Gold and Silver members
I would expect an Inbound business class passenger would have access to it based on the onewortld rule: (Lounge access - oneworld)
...
Customers flying in Economy class on a domestic or intra-European segment to connect to or from a oneworld longhaul First or Business Class flight can also use the lounge applicable to the class in which they are travelling on the longhaul segment. ...

You can also use the Arrivals Lounges if you go through UK immigration (T3 or T5, you didn't say whether your inbound is from SIN/BKK for T3, or HKG for T5). Then transfer to T1 for your flight to DUB.

Inbound with Royal Brunei -- then B/A lhr to Dub

Ohhhhh, well in that case, no Arrivals Lounge at all. You will indeed be leaving from T1, and sitting in "Club Europe" on one of the former BMI aircraft.

BA is a bit vague about access for J class pax to the T1 UK and Ireland lounge (see Serfty's post above - but as you're not flying oneworld into LHR Serfty's comment about being able to access the lounge on that basis doesn't apply). I'd give BA a call - actually, I'd give the BA lounge at LHR T1 a call, as I wouldn't necessarily trust the call centre people to get it right!

Thanks you for the quick replies !! its never easy!*sigh* might have to reconsider -- no access not paying Business ! sounds fair to me lol!

Not sure if this next bit is relevant or should have its own thread.

I can confirm, as per the above link, that if you are OWE and on a BA codeshare (operated by BMI) that you will receive priority checkin (Counter A) and BMI/BA Lounge departure access at Heathrow Terminal 1.

This was LHR-MAN today - lounge is near Gate 8, after 2 x security points.

Wouldn't you still have access to the EI Gold Circle Lounge at T1… I thought BA flights still used that lounge. I don't think there is a shower there though.

I cant find one that will allow paid access with showers .

The BMI lounge doesn't have showers anyway. The only paid one I know of (well, via Priority Pass anyway) is the Servisair lounge. Haven't been in there yet but the website does not indicate a shower.
