Business Award Perth-Auckland

Hi, a year or two back we did a business award PER-AKL (via Krisflyer points/Star Alliance) & there was plenty of availability when we booked 10 - 11 months before the trip.
We would like to do the same trip again but when we search on United.com it shows PLENTY of Economy awards seats but ABSOLUTELY NO business seats anytime in the next 12 months.

I think I read somewhere that AirNZ are now only releasing business awards 60 (or was it 90) days in advance now - but I can't see any at all.

Is it likely they will release some or have they stopped this on the PER-AKL sector?
Maybe I'm doing something wrong in my search or there is a better website to use?

No, you are not doing anything wrong, it's just that NZ basically does not release any(or many) business class reward seats with the possible exception of PVG flights,they are one of if not the stingiest airlines in star alliance when it comes to releasing business class reward seats

Air NZ award seats in Business class are rare nowadays, if not non-existent.

If you are flying Perth to Auckland regularly, maybe have a look at using AAdvantage? Currently 17.5K miles in Business, soon to be increased to 25K but still much less than other options (and there is plenty of availability on QF, both direct when QF111/112 is running and via MEL/SYD at other times).
