Hi all, just wanted to share my experience on a recent flight to London.

Was originally booked on BA16 in F to LHR from SYD but was told at check-in that my seat was broken.

Ground manager was excellent, offered a downgrade to BA business (I guess would've been with compensation), F on QF1 or F on QR909.

Chose QR, but now that I think about it, the compensation would have been nice..

At least different to the solutions QF has been dishing out recently.
I had a non functioning IFE on one BA F sector SYD-SIN. I wasn't going to use it that day anyway so gladly accepted their first offer of 20000 Avios.

The compensation for the downgrade would have been 75% of the ticket price I believe? Not bad for taking a hit in business instead of First!
