hi everyone,

i am looking to travel to YVR around december.

I want to travel Bus. Class with myself + wife.

Could someone please tell me what the best deals around are.

I wouldnt mind to have to travel someowhere from SYD to get the flight. (eg i noticed an AIR NZ flight from NZ - LHR in Bus, for a very good price)

The cheapest business class published fare for OneWorld airlines will be the OneWorld Circle Pacific 22,000 mile DCIR22 fare. You will need to route through DFW since I don't believe AA fly their own metal between LAX/SFO and YVR.

So a routing like this will work (or the reverse):
SYD-LAX-DFW-YVR-HKG-SYD

If you are crediting to QF FF program, then look for the AA codeshare on the YVR-HKG CX flight to ensure you earn the QF Status Bonus (not paid for CX flights). If using the AA Plat Challenge, you will both the Platinum before landing in LAX.

If you take up NM's suggestion of a circle trip, then I'd suggest doing in the direction Australia->US->Canada->Asia->Australia so as to avoid the horrendous queues for Canada->US flights (US immigration is done inside Canada).

DCIR22 base fare cost is $7029. (or at least that is the latest fare O have and am not aware of any rises since then).
