Haven't been to my go to BNE accommodation for a month and just checked in to find the EL in what used to be Sussette restaurant. Don't know how they can call it overlooking Anzac square. All you really get is a view of the railway station roof. Area on level 30 is now just a gym.
Anyone know if this is a permanent enhancement?

Gym used to share the top floor, are you saying it’s been expanded. FWIW the EL has been on the ground floor prior, when it moved from one of the top floors after rebranding. For some time the top floor was a function space.

Didn't go up there so don't know if it has expanded or not. As long as I've been staying here the EL has always shared the top floor. It may well have been on the lobby level after rebranding but not for a long time. When I get back this evening I will go up a check out if the gym has expanded

Stayed at the Sofitel last Friday night (27 June 2025). Only Gold now so did not get to experience the lounge. The EL is now at back of Suzette. From what i could see the EL is only open at night time.

Could not see it open for breakfast so those eligible guests would have the buffet in Suzette.

Went up to Level 30. What was the lounge is still a seperate space but is closed and from what i could see not used for anything. Some furniture still in there.

Have no idea why they closed it and reloacted it to Suzette.
