Currently at the Holiday Inn, West Perth.
After a 'draining' and almost painful Jest-Star flight, I finally arrived at the hotel at about 3:45am.
The Night Manager went through the basics, until I said, it's ok, I'm a Diamond Member ... I know how the Rewards program works ...
so, after stating I'd like the comp. breakfast, I went up to my room. I was quite dry, and looked for the bottled water.
None.
Went back to see manager, and he explained, that "IHG Hotels stopped providing comp. water, when the Rewards Program was updated."
I said, but in Sydney, every HI I know, still provides free water for Diamond Members.
I asked for one bottle.
Sparkling or still ?
Sparkling, if you have it.
Sure, he say, as he walks over to the fridge. Ok. Nice glass bottle of sparkling mineral water.
Check my card balance, and he damn-well charged me $7.32 for it !!
So, what do others think about this ...
Is it now, either breakfast, or 'points and water' ??
