Bose Quiet Comfort Noise Cancelling Headphones:
Airline Adapter problem?
Q. Has anybody experienced problems with the supplied adapter or other adapters that are used to connect the Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones to the QANTAS 3 pin headphone seat socket?
If I use the supplied on board Qantas Noise cancelling Headphones with the 3 pin socket seat socket all works OK.
When I connect my Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones to the same seat socket using the 2 pin connector I experience connection problems. It sometimes works and other times does not.
I suspect that there is a slight difference in the pin specifications because a firm connection is not made. Jiggle the 2 pin connector around and it sometimes connects, and other times fails.
Have purchased from the On Board Qantas Shop a 2 pin adapter to use with my Bose Headphones to see if that would fix the problem.
No such luck. Both the Qantas supplied 2 pin adapter and the Bose supplied 2 Pin adapter caused the same problem = sometimes connects sometimes does not.
Maybe, just maybe, it is the lead to the headphones that is the problem, but no amount of twitching of the cable causes the problem; it appears to be with the seat connector itself.
If anybody has experienced the same problem with the Qantas 3 pin connector and the Bose 2 Pin adapter I would appreciate your feedback and solution
