Is it cost effective (or even possible) to call QF and book one way in Y to say BKK, and return in J from SIN? I'm toying with a few flight options now, and I don't mind a day flight in Y, but hate a night flight. I'm flying out of MEL, but can't find anywhere online to cost it, so I figured I'd have to call QF. Leaving MEL on 13th Sep, back on the 4th Oct.

Any thoughts or experiences?

You can cost it as two one way flights, but that will probably work out to be excessively expensive. If you call, and the price is right, be sure to state that since this booking cannot be made online, the telephone booking assistance fee should be waived.
