Booking QF Flights Out of US with an AU FF Card?

I'm booking a few US-based guests to visit Australia for a conference I'm organising and I also have a Westpac Earth Platinum Card, which gives a bonus points on selected QF purchases. Does anyone know if I purchase a few flights on QF that originate in the US (and hence, charged in US$), will I still get those bonus points? Or does the bonus point only apply to QF purchases in AU$?

Only specific Australian Qantas 'merchants".

Still, 1½ per dollar is Ok.

A Qantas US transaction comes through something like "QANTAS DPS ONLINE BOOK LOS ANGELES US " with no bonus.
