How come Virgin will let me do a booking search for a one-way flight from MEL- SIN (or another asian destination for example) but I can't do the reverse search?

I'm looking to take a flight home from somewhere in Asia around October, and would like to use my Velocity points.

In another question, can I use my Velocity Points *directly* with the partner airlines e.g. Singapore Airline, by going to the Singapore Air site and searching for their reward flights?

1. Sorry... no idea..

2. Almost certainly not. Award flights must be booked through the airlines whose points/miles are being used in every instance I've ever seen.....

This functionality has not yet been implemented in the new system yet, you will need to phone up.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
