Booking flights on Points

Recently travelled from Brisbane to London with Virgin under a VA flight number. Flights where a choice fare booked with points during a status credit promotion period. With these flights being booked with points, will I receive SC for the flights?

If it's a choice fare, you should earn the base status credits but most likely not eligible for any bonus under a status credit promotion

If it's a reward fare (i.e. paid with points) you don't get status credits either.
