I'm a former Air NZ Gold Elite, now Gold due to soft landing. I have two upgrades that I would like to (try to) use on an upcoming trip, either to Hong Kong or LAX. But when I try to book with the start of my trip in Canberra, I get a message that says, "Sorry, fares for the selected route are not available for purchase on the Air New Zealand website. Please change locations and search again orContact
Us for personal assistance."
So how do I book this? Do I have to book a separate flight via Virgin to Sydney? That means my luggage won't be tagged all the way through.
