Hi there,
I'm new to the forum, so hello to everyone and thanks in advance for any suggestions members may have.
I recently booked a J class seat (I class booking) on QF63 (SYD-JNB) through my travel agent. When I look at my booking on the Qantas website and click on that particular flight, I see both a J booking and a Y booking. The J booking has me marked for the seats I selected and has no seat selected for the Y booking.
Does anyone know if this is common? I'm unsure if its a stuff up from the travel agent's end (that they booked two seats and only charged me for one?), is just a random and meaningless quirk or (hopefully not) a 'back-up' seat in case I was to be bumped down or something?! I've just not seen this before.
Either way, I'm not too fussed as I have a booking for the seats I wanted and have paid what I expected, so don't really mind so long as I end up in them! Any thoughts?
Thanks everyone, happy flying!
Chris
