First, something amazing. Priority boarding at Hobart! May not be brand new, but first time I've experienced it. And with 2 people scanning, it worked!

Then, absurdity on the apron. HBA of course has only walk to the plane boarding. There was a Jetstar plane disembarking pax, walking straight into the terminal. We, boarding a 717, had to walk along the apron, at right angles to the disembarking JQ lot - so the two lines intersected.

Solution- they alternatively stopped each line of pax while the others progressed. Clumps of pax milling around on the apron, looking very bemused, until it was their turn.

Still, it was something different to contemplate. :)

Amazing that QF has finally got PB at HBA.

Experienced the same sort of thing with departing and arriving passengers at NTL a few weeks ago.

It is a little unusual to stand and wait for the departing passengers.

Line queues for different forms of travel seem extraordinarily difficult for people to manage.

On our recent QM2 cruise, disembarking from Hong Kong was a mess.

When exiting the terminal from cruise ship, the taxi line was straight across the exit. Cunard officials were yelling at people (with luggage) to get out of the exit while Hong Kong officials were stopping people leaving the exit to allow the taxi queue to progress. Dumplexity in its highest form.

There was around 1800 passengers to exit and I'd say 1500 of them trying to move to the taxi queue once they'd exited.
