Apologies if this is not the correct place for me to post this, haven't flown for quite a while.

Looking to fly to LHR this Sunday 20th and return 2nd April.

Am platinum with Finnair (did the points redemption thing a while back) and have 250k points with them.

I'm a bronze pleb with Qantas now and have 350k points with them.

Wanting to fly J or f (for the first time)

Looking at my options.

1. Book through Finn and upgrade. Can't see anything available.

2. Book a J ticket - seems to be around 9-12k

3. Book f with Emirates, about 16k

I think I'm going to book f and be done with it. I just can't seem to find a way to use points to upgrade and wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious?

Been so long since I've flown regularly and feel completely out of my depth. Would really appreciate and ideas.

Can your points be used to book Qatar Airways via Doha?

Searching for flights on Finnair i can't see any of the Qatar flights...

I'm assuming I won't be able to upgrade with points unless it's booked through Finn?

And thanks heaps for the reply.

Have you looked at BA options, like using points for outright fare or upgrade from J to F, starting in SIN ?

Confess I havnt checked this fully but BA website shows BA 12 dep Sin 2315 yr outward date with a 787, and there is a QF to get you up there. BA F is pretty nice, not the full EK or SQ but v comfortable if theres a good crew (again not gnteed).

All good, thanks for the thoughts. Have booked with Emirates. Many thanks n
