Hi guys,

I'm looking for a steer from some of the resident geniuses. I have to travel from BNE to HKG in June, on to LHR a couple of days later then returning LHR-BNE in mid July. I also need 310 SCs for Gold before 31 July. I'm trying to work out the best way of maximising my SC return, given the trip and the fact that my company will pay for Premium Economy but not business (even if business is cheaper on another carrier!).

So, my thoughts are:
  • BNE-HKG
    QF8 / QF127 - BNE-SYD-HKG
  • HKG-LHR
Prem economy on CX or BA
  • LHR-BNE
    QF2 / QF504 - LHR-SYD-BNE

Any thoughts? I'm finding it hard to nail down how many SCs I'll earn on BA / CX on the HKG to LHR leg (I'll be travelling before 1 July).

Thanks.

I can't help with the SC total but to maximise your SC earn you should try and get QF for each flight if possible, guaranteed more credits unless CX/BA flights have a QF flight #.

HKG - LHR will earn 80SCs in Y+ prior to 1st July.
