That is good news.

Still no guarantee it will be around in 2012 and beyond so it would make one hesitant to buy miles with the intention of getting an award in 2012/2013.
 
Someone in the forum suggested the reason why they stayed is because of improvement of BAEC. Not sure if that is true though.

But have to say their M+C award is fantastic and I have had a chance to really take advantage of it on J travel around Asia.

I actually have about 51K points to burn somewhere so at least it give me more time to burn it .... The only "negative" thing is that I probably won't get M&M Senator status as my DC Gold expires at July.
