The story I read said he didn't hear a PA annoucement. That would suggest someone WAS NOT talking to him, but to the whole plane.
Though on twitter he admitted to not only wearing noise cancelling headphones but was making a beat on his computer so didn't hear the FA talking to him.It seems he was being asked to put his computer away.

His version, as reported here, is unreliable. for example 20 minutes after takeoff, not usually a time when computers have to be put away for landing...

But other reports put it at 20 minutes before landing.just reflective of the great state of journalism today.

BTW I'm a generation or two after the boomers

If you're two generations after the boomers that would actually make you one of the 'millennials' that you appear to so despise. I would also suggest that one currently on their p-plates it likely to be Gen Z as they will (likely) be between 17 - 20 and therefore born after the millennial or Gen Y cut-off.

If you assume I accurately specified my age/generation, and ignore that I gave a range of 1 or 2 generations after. My other musical taste might give a hint.
As for despise, that's a poor assumption. I just despise individuals not whole generations. Hence why I'm opposed to ageism in any form. I could list lots of examples of poor boomer/gen x behaviour, but those are related to different issues than those listed in the post I quoted.
Thanks for your thoughts.

If I was I'd have to offer you a vegemite sandwich... in Brussels

Seriously less than 6 foot, less than 150kg, mostly fat, no tatts, no beard, and I didn't actually get out of the car at all.
He approached me and I made no physical attempt to go near him.

Edit: Blades? I feel the biggest weapon is the car I'm sitting in should there be any blades involved.
I am fortunate enough to have never been involved in a road rage accident, except one recently a SUV thought I must have cut him off and deliberately circles me, and then half swerves deliberately into my lane to try and scare me twice, I wondered if it had been on camera, insurance would have a great time pursuing damages had he hit me,

the only "cough" drivers I see on the road are the weekend drivers who drive at 40km everywhere while taking 3 mins to reverse out of carspot,
my biggest gripe are bus drivers, I have complaimned at least 4 times to the bus company in the past few years, 2 with footage of drivers who think "give way" means stick their head out while turning the indicator on without even looking at any cars coming, and expect other drivers to slam the breaks on

Without wanting to getting into a bad drivers discussion, off topic. I would say I only used driving as an example for the ageist comments earlier.
with a small aside that some bus drivers these days seem to think that give way sign applies to changing lanes and have almost collected me a few times. However, that bus giveway thing was only about leaving a bus stop when introduced in the 1990s.

yes, lets not derail this thread, but youd think bus drivers would be the most calmest and best drivers on the road

Mostly, yes. But there’s plenty of toolies getting around in their 20’s-plus, who would seem to have already lost their licence and are back on red P’s again. 😠

It's a travesty we don't have concealed carry here in Australia.
Remaining O/T here. What will that 16 year old (child) get as a sentence if found guilty? Four years or less? And possibly all done in a Juvenile Justice /Juvenile Detention Centre? Not sure how it works in Tassie.

I'd expect, knowing the current crop of magistrates, a slap on the wrist and community service. Get a good lawyer.

I've reacted to a road rage incident. After being subjected to some unbecoming driving behaviour, and general OTT abuse, I caught up with the driver at traffic lights. When I tapped on his window, he had a look of needing new underpants :) He apologised and we both went on our way.
