As the title suggests there will be a few AFFers in BKK at the time.

I am not sure about dinner but we can try and have drinks in the Executive Lounge if there are enough of us with lounge access. If not then I am sure we can find a bar nearby. The Londoner, Dubliner etc are all nice pubs.

Not sure where I will be located for NYE, but Thailand was one of the possibilities, so will subscribe to this thread.

I'm only Gold but had booked that room ages ago and have an Exec floor room with lounge access. What I've heard is that this particular property provides lounge access for Gold HH members anyway though (a friend of mine who's Gold stayed there twice since the property was opened and got lounge access both times and TA is also full of reports confirming the same).

Mentioned on the other thread that I won't be in BKK for NY celebrations but...

...if anyone is in BKK between 6th Jan and 9th Jan, might be keen for drinks :)

I fly out on the 4th. :( Start a new job on the 6th so needed to come home early.

Pencil me in as a possible.
I probably won't be able to confirm though until few days prior.

Excellent news. And +1 will be excited. If anything like Millenium Hilton then count me out or dinner. It will be drinks only.

On a side note I do not believe there is a lounge in the Hilton Doubletree so will be looking to play some golf the nex day. Bank Holiday is not going to make it easy.

You're right John, there isn't a lounge at the DoubleTree. There are free drinks at the pool bar for a couple of hours in the evening. Breakfast is downstairs in the restaurant.

Free drinks sounds good.

The Trainee Minister of Finance has put a halt on all unnecessary spending pending a review. :p

Arrived at the Hilton yesterday. Very impressed with the staff in the Exec lounge and the hot food although same can't be said about their wines which rather belong into the headache-inducing cheapy category. Who's still in for drinks on the 1st?

I'll be there, leaving Australia tomorrow (31 Dec) morning. First night at Conrad then Hilton Sukhumvit on 01 Jan.

We should be there ~3:00pm. Not sure about lounge access.

What time are you guys meeting up- for evening drinks at 6? I got no idea how you all look like, shell we organize a meeting point or something?

We're in the EL now. And Vitagen has just joined us.
