Hi Guys,

Due to illness in the family I may have to take a rapid trip from BNE to Marbella, Spain (AGP) this week.

Still, even with the rush there is no point wasting an opportunity to increase my FFP's.

I am a member of AA (not used yet), QF (Bronze), VA (good burn rates), VJ and Emirates.

I've determined that the closest aiport is Malaga, and that the cheapest flight is Lufthansa at $1600 plus taxes, although since seeing that price an hour ago I have been unable to 're-find' it!!

I've also found Swiss at $1800

I'm aware that there are is a FinnAir 'Round the world' special on at the moment - but not sure if I can use this to get there and back.

Any thoughts on the best (cheapest) way to get from BNE to AGP whilst maximising my FFPs??

There is a QF, CX, AY fare to Europe at $1659 + taxes until 27 May. One leg must be via HEL with AY. Only problem is you can only get to BCN/MAD. And airfare like MAD-AGP would cost ~A$130, possibly less. A routing, subject to seat availability, BNE-HKG-HEL-BCN/MAD-LHR-BKK-SYD-BNE should be possible. You are allowed 4 stopovers as well as your final destination.

There is also a year round QF, CX, AY fare to Europe at $1489 + taxes but must travel via HEL on AY both ways. Again you can only get to BCN/MAD. A routing, subject to seat availability, BNE-NRT-HEL-BCN/MAD-HEL-HKG-BNE should be possible. You are allowed 4 stopovers as well as your final destination.

I would credit flights to QFF program but there are others that would recommend AA.

There are possibly cheaper options using a mixture of carriers but you would not be maximising FF points.

zuji.com.au has LX BNE-xx_-ZRH-AGP return for 1667 + tax

also consider other airports nearby that you can drive from SVQ, GRX, GIB
