Best way to get some points

It's the kind of thing you might do if you were a few thousand points short of a great redemption and you want to leverage the value of the points you already have - but it's probably not good value when you're looking to buy the whole fare in points. BA does offer an Avios subscription that comes in at about 2c per Avios, but you have to wait a year for your Avios to trickle through in monthly instalments. It used to be nearer 1.7c per Avios but they put the price up and the Australian dollar continues to fall. That was almost tempting (Avios gives you access to the QR network) but not quite. I have no idea about AA points but I doubt they would be better value.
Thanks!

As a bit of an aside - I recently booked Westjet economy reward flights through QFF, and despite it clearly stating a number of times during booking that baggage was included, it did not include any when checking QF Manage My Booking or on the Westjet website. These were Canada to USA flights FWIW.

I did manage to get them refunded eventually, but just something to be wary of.
As a further aside had exactly the same experience recently - baggage included on WestJet flights in many separate screen locations EXCEPT on our eTickets! But was aware of the anomaly beforehand so went in with my eyes open.
Has anyone challenged Qantas/WestJet to honour what the booking website is saying?

I tried a bit, but QF call centre basically said call Westjet, and their website said no (using the booking ref).

I figured there is no real chance of QF being able to force them to give it to me, and didn't want to pay for baggage myself when I turned up at the airport and then try to get blood out of the QF stone afterwards.
