Hoping someone here can offer some suggestions as I have not been able to get on to Qantas.
I need to book international flights with QF number, code shared with Emirates, for 2 PAX. One will fly economy and one business.
One PAX has 2 Qantas flight credits to use for their ticket.
We are watching the business class prices rise rapidly and want to book ASAP.
What is the best way to handle this?

Welcome to AFF Eli.

If I understand you correctly, you want to use one voucher for each pax, who will travel on the same flight but different cabins?

If so, I see two options:

1. Book separately. Each pax will have their own PNR and you will be able to use both vouchers.

2. Call QF who may be able to join the vouchers then make the booking so both pax are on the one PNR.

Good luck.

Thank you for the welcome Captain Halliday.

To clarify, one passenger has 2 vouchers and the other has no vouchers. I don't even know if you can join 2 vouchers for a new booking.

I have tried contacting Qantas via phone and FB without success so have no confidence that I could contact them to get the PNRs linked if we book separately.

If there even any value in linking the PNRs?

Plan Z is to book separately and no link the PNRs but hoping we can do a bit better than this.

I don't think you can have a single PNR for mixed class bookings - but I could be wrong.

I don't get why you would need to link them - considering the seats won't be together. Why is two different bookings a problem?

Two PNRs required - one for the J pax and one for the Y pax. Yes you can use two credits to book but it must be done by phone.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Madrooster and justinbrett thanks for responding. I think we have decided to book separately and use only one voucher. It's all just too hard otherwise.

note QF can combine vouchers.. or should be able to, in terms of using both for one booking. That has to be done on the phone though, so it is potentially worth making that call if you want to use both the vouchers (assuming credit vouchers in the pax name) for this booking.
