Hi,

I need to travel to London in September and I'm looking for the best option on how to earn Velocity status/points.

If I book through the Virgin website will I earn more credits / points when flying on a codeshare?
The site is slightly more expensive that going direct to, say, Singair or Etihad.

Also - where there is an option to fly a sector on a VA plane, is that a better option than taking the full trip on a codeshare?

Thanks - appreciate this is probably something I can research myself but I'm hoping there are some experts out there that can help.

You'll only be able to fly on VA metal to AUH & then EY to London. I did this recently with a couple of days in AUH in both directions.

I flew J (points upgrade) SYD - AUH on VA & Y on EY AUH - LHR - AUH.

What budget do you have & what's your current status level? Do you have many points to use?

Thanks Erkpod, I'm looking to earn as many as possible rather than spend them. Is flying on VA better than flying on a codeshare in terms of earning potential?

Thanks
