Bought a set of Airpods about a year ago.
Love them

Before I buy them again, has anyone tried any of the alternatives?

I have not used AirPods so I cannot compare. I use the B&O H5 for my in ear headphones. They come with about 6 different sizes of ear cushions (whatever they are technically known as) that are normal type and noise reducing. I like them as when I am not using them they magnetically connect together and shuts off the battery. I find the playback sound and microphone is more than acceptable.

A stayed away from AirPods as I figured I would have lost 1 or both within a month.
