Hi all

I'm a moderate FF, silver with Qantas and usually take OW airlines. Work trips have me on Business and Economy with Turkish and SAS over the next month. Trying to work out the best *A FF program to join for sitting on points with a decent return on redemptions. Don't really want my points to expire too soon. From reading the forum SG have a 3 year expiry and Turkish might actually be the best option. Thoughts?

Thanks!!

Aegean requires only a stupid small amount of miles to get gold. 19,000 (once you factor in the 1,000 welcome points)

Asiana might be a good option too, particularly for keeping points alive. 40,000 miles over two years gets one *G, with the same conditions to renew. Miles last for 7 years at the base level of membership, with life being extended to 10 years for *S and 12 for *G. Not sure of how good the earn and burn rates are compared to other programs though.
