Batesy looking to keep QFF gold status

So heres the details.

• Status assement on the 30th of April.
• Currently gold having dropped from platinum last year, no comp ever as platinum. I was a long way short last year. Only had one year as Platinum.
• Current status credits 280. Require 320 to maintain gold.
• Planned travel is ironically only on my assement date 30th of April. Starclass SYD-HKT. Will give me 120 credits. Leaves me 200 credits shy at re-assement.
• My return leg from HKT is also in starclass is on the 10th of May only 1 days after my re-assement date another 120 that fall in the wrong year.
• I may have a work trip to Cairns which will get me 40 credits, but no guarantees.

Suggestions anyone??? Should I ring now, explain my situation and upcoming travel and see if I might get comped? I don't really want to spend $$ on travel to maintain my status.
All suggestions appreciated.

You'll need to show more than one upcoming *C flight for the year to achieve comped SG.

320 (or even 200) is still well short unfortunately.

If you can show multiple bookings for next year, you might have a chance.

I agree with docjames on this. They will want a lot more information before considering a comp. Beyond that only you know whether it is worth spending the extra $$$ to force the status. Lately there have been a few threads about how to earn extra SC's.

Sent an email to QF yesterday explaining my situation.

I have not heard anything back from thme but logged into my account this morning. Got comped, thanks QF

Status credits earned from 01 May 2009: 280
Additional Status credits required by 30 Apr 2010
Wooo Hooooo!!!

I had not been comped before and QF would not comp me Plat after I was only plat for one year.
All good!!
