Bangkok hotel suggestions

Hi
looking for recommendations for a hotel with pool that is not full of kids.
up to approx 18,000 baht per night.
Would like a pool that is easy to get in and out as I am older and have a bad back.
i am a smoker so would like a balcony where I can have a cigarette.

I recently returned from Bangkok. I stayed at Siam Kempinski in a Cabana room with pool access.
Love the hotel, staff and service.
Unfortunately kids in pool squealing and screaming really loudly, often beside my terrace and occasionally even climbing on steps to my terrace.
I blame the parents not the kids.b

Haven't stayed in a place with a balcony in Bangkok but have heard great things from fellow cruise passengers about the Tower club at Lebua.
Pool looks big.

And Luxury escapes has a deal on and it looks good value.

Have stayed at the Lebua many times and agree it’s a great hotel especially with a tower club room. When our son was younger we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite a couple of times and it was fantastic. Had kitchen and laundry facilities which came in handy. The pool is a decent size but unfortunately you can get kids down there. The big negative of the property for me is that as the Hotel and rooftop bar are so iconic it gets inundated with visitors and as a consequence the lifts are jam packed and we have waited an eternity to get down. There are literally 1000’s of visitors going up and down all day and they really should have seperate lifts for guests

Thanks to both of you for responses.
A friend recently stayed at Lebua and the lift issue was a problem.

Anyone with suggestions for good hotel, no screaming kids and balcony for smoking?

maybe I should post in grumpy old boomer thread 😀

Doubletree Sukhumvit (by Hilton) has a great pool, relatively quiet, no screaming children when we were there, and easy to step into the shallow section which then drops down to the deeper section.
