can anyone confirm, im currently gold, hubby and daughter red. on our way back from NYC to melb hubby and i have used points to upgrade to business on va but the delta nyc to la portion will be in economy, will hubby and daughter still get the baggage allowance as offered by va as in the 2 free bags (daughter flying econ on va not bus). hope that makes sense, trying to find out if im going to get charged at the airport at all. in between internal flights i have booked everyone delta first class so not a problem, this is the only flight on the trip that will be economy as i obviously am unable to upgrade. also in regards to lounges, what access will i have being gold, again we are all flying first class (not sure if that gets you lounge access) or if not can i bring in a guest will have hubby and 15 year old with me.

I'd recommend calling Virgin and asking.

If you've got a Virgin booking reference it might be possible to pull up the updated eticket online.

The easiest way is to create an account on TripCase then on the right click "create new trip" once you've the new trip there is an option to "add an item" and you're looking for "Link a booking".

If it successfully works then all your flights will appear and you can click on documents at the top to access the latest eticket. That should list each leg and the included allowance.

(The TripCase website is run by Sabre the company that operates Virgin's booking system)
