A dumb question!

I'm in the process of sorting out my changed flights following the recent QF changes. (I was on BA10/9 in June 2012)

The default change is to BA16/15, and it is OK........however I thought to myself that given that BA give me a "free change" I'd check to see what was available, and more specifically if I could pick up a QF code share on a 388.

Outbound shows flight BA7311 leaving SYD at 16:55 and arriving at 07:00 at LHR, and it is a 744. I can't seem to match that up to a QF flight number now.

Is this just down to the changes not settling into the booking system yet or am I missing something obvious as usual?

I think you will find it will be all A388 via SIN, at present the changes loaded are only:

Sydney – Bangkok Flight Number and schedule changes
QF023/BA7313 SYD1235 – 1855BKK 744 D
QF024/BA7314 BKK2055 – 0900+1SYD 744 D Bangkok – London Heathrow sector canceled
Sydney – Singapore – London Heathrow This route will inherit flagship QF001/002 flight numbers, currently operating on SYD BKK LHR
QF001 SYD1610 – 2230SIN2359 – 0635+1LHR 388 D
QF002 LHR2230 – 1830+1SIN2000+1 – 0540+2SYD 388 D

That is what I am hoping for. :)

I may just hold off doing anything with the BA booking for a little while. The seats have carried over from my last booking. the only potential issue is the 65 min connection at SYD as BA15 leaves more than an hour earlier. As and when things sort themselves out I should be able to change the connecting flight.
