Thanks David. I'll be contacting the TA on Monday.

Any ideas as to how much a TA would charge, considering I already have the tickets?

PS

For future personal reference:

How
did you manage find out the QF equivalents for the BA flights?!

Is there a site devoted to listing codeshares? Or have you 'been there, done that'. :?:

It really depends on the tickets to fees and possibility of doing so

I used the OneWorld timetable and looked up SYD-BKK to confirm it which can be downloaded from http://www.trvlink.com/download/oneworld/oneworlddesktop.exe

It would involve rebooking using the Qantas flight number but still on the BA flight

Instead of BA10 SYD-BKK, book on QF301
Instead of BA9 BKK-SYD, book on QF302

Unfortunately this fare requires that you are on a BA operated and marketed flight. The Fare does not allow any codeshares.

It is a great fare though! Cheap as Chips for high season to India.

Well, no go with the codeshare, so bad luck for me.

So I just checked in online using, you guessed it, online check-in. My seats were previously booked in row 37, and I managed to bump it up a few rows to row 30. So that was nice, but for some reason, I couldn't check in but my sister could, so I ring them up, and they don't know what's going on, and hence suggest me to try an hour later. Me, being the impatient bugger I am, decide to doublecheck the "advanced passenger info' i gave to them online, and there's absolutely nothing wrong. So, just for the hell of it (and thinking there was a bug somewhere in the system) , I clear all the details and enter them Again, and presto, I can check in online. So I print out my boarding pass, and now the only thing I have to do is check in my luggage (which unfortunately cannot be done online yet). Of course if only had cabin luggage, I could head straight to the gate and bypass the checkin counters.
