Hi everyone,

Just have a quick question for you today, I need to flying from sydney to singapore at the end of march. Im just wondering was is better QF first or BA first. They both use the QF first lounge in sydney, but does anyone know who is better inflight. or have had experience on both.

Kind Regards

Welcome readyrocket, I have only flown BA F and QF F once (each) and the BA F experience was on a 777. Service and food on both was comparable. I preferred the BA seat for sleeping though, so all other things being equal, I would choose the BA product.

As for AV - on the BA flight they supplied a portable DVD player and a selection of DVDs to choose from (although, I think they now use AVOD in seat system now), while QF uses the in seat AVOD. I prefer the AVOD (when it is working) despite the PA interruptions because I can look after the whole lot myself rather then having to call over a FA to change DVDs...

My 2c worth.

I would take BA over QF; the seats are pretty much the same but the BA layout is nice. I also find the BA service tends to be better than QF

Also, BA has online check in , so you can avoid even having to go to a check in desk if you have no luggage and head straight to the flounge

If only going as far as SIN, then I would take BA as it arrives about 45 mins earlier into SIN. The QF31 arrival is 10:30pm which means a very late hotel check-in.
