Never heard of it until now. Not a big deal IMO.

Any price matching scheme by anyone - airline or hotel - is a gimmick at best and a scam at worst. Never works, and of course you need to take the plunge (risk) first before you can even have a chance to try and make a claim.

At least price matching in most retail in Australia can be done at time of sale. Airline and hotel price matching rigmarole makes US-based insurance companies look like saints sometimes.

Used it almost monthly. Whenever it would work out in an 20 quid or more voucher.

Only had 1 knockback, which was at the start, you couldn't pricematch a flight you used a pricematch voucher on.

Shame it is gone.

Same! This was the only price match scheme that consistently worked for me. Customer service was responsive and fairly human - on the odd occasion where they couldn't see the price, an exchange of emails with a few screenshots usually solved it. I suppose with more people preferring to deal directly with airlines even if it is at a slight premium, these sorts of inducements are no longer commercially needed...

I also have used it earlier this year - found a J price appox GBP20 cheaper than what I had booked, sent screen shots and got the voucher within 48 hours - which I used on a new booking

Used it a number of times in the past, it used to be very quick and you got a voucher for double the difference usually within 24/48 hours. Although they said you needed screenshots they never used to ask for them, I assume they just validated by searching the rival site.

In recent years though it got a lot slower and they always insisted on the screenshots, and it seemed to be more coughbersome and hit and miss with successful claims. I haven't bothered with it for a while.

I think too maybe the other sites got wise to the fact that some people were just using them for quotes to price match with BA.
